born out of dust

it runs through my veins

not enough summer water

to wash it away

while you breath in air

blown through the rain

polished and perfect

timid and tame

blackness breaks

at dawns arise

tears that cry through

melancholy eyes

kicking at stones

a heart held in limbo

searching for home

held to the path so simple and pure

memories locked in a chest to endure
