bone dry

anderson east

lonely as i sit

broke down off the highway. cars they sweep beside me

on damp asphalt. and i'm not sure where to go

i sit with the radio on. & light a smoke. cause' helplessness overwhelms us. it's out of my hands

i'm enclosed in a tin can

that ran bone dry. well

i suppose today ain't my day. between the sheets i should have stayed

back in alabama. oh

how the winter chill greets

the warmth beneath

my rain coat. cause' helplessness overwhelms us. it's out of my hands

i'm enclosed in a tin can

that ran bone dry.
