i define them as the

um

the face of the song

i see the music and the boom and the bass

and the shimmering cymbals and all that

as just

like

aesthetics and accessories

but the details of the face come with the lyrics of the song

it

like

really shows who you are and what you're saying

not just what you're bringing and how you feel

it shows how you're saying it

so i feel the lyrics is just another step

and

uh

and if they're strong enough

when they're strong enough

and usually they are

you don't even need the music

so it's one of those things that go hand in hand

and it's a perfect marriage between word and melody
