day to day routine

the six o'clock alarm goes off

he goes outside and gets the morning paper

then grabs a legal pad so he can

makes a list of things to get to later

he'll watch a little tv

fix some scrambled eggs and toast

then try to find his wallet

in a pile of dirty clothes

it's his day to day routine and it never changes

it's always more or less the same old thing

he always know exactly where to start

cause missing her's the most consistent part

of his day to day routine

he gets in to work on time

stares out of the window and remembers

makes a phone call

sends an email

and looks down at the ring that's on his finger

at quittin' time he hates it

cause it makes him feel alone

there'll be nothing but her memory

waiting there when he gets home

the world just seems so empty with her gone
