i said nothing

i guess we said it all when we said goodbye

everything that needed saying--we must have said it then

i wondered what i'd do if our paths ever crossed

last night it happened-there you were again

i didn't know what to say

so. i said nothing

i just stood there for awhile

no words came into my mind

i was tongue-tied as i watched you walk away

so i said nothing

i hope we find that place where everything's ok

might take a little while but it's the best for you and me

first step to moving on is learning to forgive

second step is letting go--that's how it ought to be

i guess i ain't there yet

cause. better than something i know that i'll regret

some things are better left unsaid
