older now

i'm getting older now

i like to go slower now

maybe my best days are behind me

but i know the past will not define me

a few shades of gray on the sides

they make me feel dignified

my belly is round

my shoulders heavy

but unstable ground's

where i feel steady

i don't know where i'm going

but i'll find my way

i don't know how i got here

but i like it okay

if my time was wasted

at least i saw so many interesting places

i can't wait to see what the next place is

who knows what the future holds

we'll see how the path unfolds

the journey has been so unexpected

so i'll move along and count my blessings

on the road that is meant for me

my mum would say meant to be"
