rotten blossom

what happens to us when we die

do we rot in the ground while our loved ones cry

do we dissipate

into a ray of light

explode into stardust up in the sky

are we food for the worms or dust for the earth

are we more complicated than we are at birth

what happens to our memories

are they kept by our friends or our enemies

when we die

are we the lambs or are we the wolves

when we die

are we the kings or are we fools

when we die are we gone forever

do we burn in hell or do we get to heaven

what happens to us when we die?

when we die is it really then end

is it more than we can comprehend

are we absolved

are we forgiven

do we just die

or are we risen

when we die is it really the end

do we lay down

do we transcend

are we lost

are we forgotten

do we blossom

or are we just rotten
