it's kinda funny when the moment finally comes
for squashing old ideas of what you're sure you need
realizing you can't hold on to both
the way it really is and the way you thought it would be
there's a feeling in our bones
just like something being born
can't go back to the life we had before
we think we're finally ready

a new life's almost here now there's
