i left the station many years ago

excited for what lay ahead

she stayed behind

so many miles although

i close my eyes and there she is

these wheels roll on from track to track

i ride across the land

every mile brings me closer

the final stop is glory

sometimes we become friends

but they cannot stay

for in the end
